The Mid-South has SO MANY fireworks shows planned during the Independence Day weekend celebration.  They start June 25th and end July 4th.  We had a team a few years back that produced the city's fireworks shows (WMC Stations' Star Spangled Celebration) first on the the river, then later in Shelby Farms.  I was the producer and they called me "Firecracker" on the walkie talkie.  I LOVE FIREWORKS shows and the name just stuck... around the 4th of July anyway!  Here's my list for 2017:

Memphis Redbirds have two fireworks show for the 4th of July weekend.  Postgame Saturday night the 1st and Monday night the 3rd (vs. New Orleans). 

Shelby Farms: Star Spangled Celebration Saturday, July 1st. Local music, food, “sprayground” water fun, laser light show set to music. 

Germantown Municipal Park July 4th  Live music, food, fun +Fireworks. 

Southaven, MS:  July 4th Celebration Tuesday, Jul 4, 2017, 6:30pm; Fireworks 9:00pm BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove, 6285 Snowden Lane: www.southaven.com

Memphis/ Peabody Hotel: Watch the City of Memphis’ fireworks light up the sky over the Mississippi River from atop the “South’s Grand Hotel.” Tuesday, July 4th

Collierville: Independence Day CelebrationMonday, July 3, 2017, 6pm - 10pm. The event will be held on July 3, 2017 at Cox Park, 440 West Powell Road. Food vendors will be open at 6:00pm, entertainment will begin at 6:30pm, and the grand finale fireworks show will start at 9:30pm. http://collierville.com

Olive Branch: 18th Annual 4th July "Celebrate Your Independence" Fireworks Jul 4, 2017, Music at 6:00pm; Fireworks at 9:00pm, Bring the Family to Olive Branch City Park (8267 Goodman Rd.) for this free event. Enjoy Kids Zone, great food vendors and more.Live music entertainment by Skyelor Anderson, followed by a HUGE fireworks display set to music at 9pm. 

Millington: Flag City Freedom Celebration!  USA Stadium Complex will be the location for this year's Celebration on Monday, July 3, 2017. The City and MWR (US Navy) sponsor the event which starts at 4pm.  $5 per carload. (The location moved because the Navy is no longer in control of the Navy Lake area and it has been leased to a private business).

Bellevue Baptist Church: The Great American Family Picnic & Fireworks June 25th.  Join Bellevue Baptist Church for this Independence Day celebration as you enjoy a picnic with your family, live music, and one of the most exciting fireworks shows in Memphis (Sunday) 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Bellevue, 2000 Appling Road, Cordova,TN.  https://www.bellevue.org/events

Memphis Zoo: Military Appreciation Day Jul 4th, 2017 All-day Event Memphis Zoo appreciates all military members, past and present, for their service.
