Soup Sunday is HERE!
Jan. 29th FedExForum
Your guide to enjoying Soup Sunday this Sunday at FedExForum!
First of all it's a great event for an amazing cause, Youth Villages which has been an advocate to children in crisis, and their families for over 20 years and continues to build strong programs around the country and here at home.
Basically they (Youth Villages and their TEAM of volunteers) transform the entry hall/ lobby to FedExForum into a children's play area with bouncey things, entertainment, cookie stacking and contests (pictured: Riley D, my daughter several years ago).
Around the corrider of FEF, restaurants, caterers, hotels and the like offer samplings of thier featured soup, bread or dessert. Be SURE to get a cardboard trey to steady your goodies as you make your way to the next vendor. Don't eat ALL the soup at every table or you won't be able to make it the full circle around the FEF! Just take a few sips to taste and make a mental note of your favorites.
Don't forget the PLAZA!! I'm pretty sure they will have samplings on the Plaza as well as inside the FedExForum again this year. Check that out too!
Be PATIENT as you make your way around the Forum. The event is from 11am to 2pm so it's quick and you should be there when the doors open to get started! BE POLITE!
EVERYONE tends to go "right" when they arrive... and start at the beginning. Not me, I head to the back of the Forum and make my way around :)
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Soup Sunday! Kids playing, people dancing, Pam & Terry playing your classic favs... it's a wonderful Sunday afternoon to fill your belly and have some family time. Weather permitting, take a walk down Beale afterwards and take in our great city!
VOTE! Be sure to download the app and vote on your favorites from the day... soup, breads, desserts, booth.
And stop by The Wolf table to sign up to win CHRIS JANSON tix at Bluesville (Feb 17) and say HI to the #WolfPack.
Have a great time at Soup Sunday and tell your friends!
