94.1 The Wolf presents the 3rd Annual 94.1 The Wolf Songwriter Fest

at The Halloran Centre at The Orpheum Friday, April 27th, 2018 with Memphis Area Honda Dealers!

Hear the stories behind the music from the songwriters themselves in an intimate acoustic performance from hit songwriters Trent Tomlinson (“Drunker Than Me” “One Wing in the Fire" Trent Tomlinson, co-writer “In Case You Didn’t Know” Brett Young and “Close Your Eyes” Parmalee) Marshall Altman (“Friday Night” Eric Paslay, “Sunshine & Whiskey” and “Helluva Life” Frankie Ballard) and Matt Warren (“Every Storm (Runs out of Rain)”, “Learning how to Bend” Gary Allan).

Trent Tomlinson- Tomlinson was born in Blytheville, Arkansas and raised in Kennett, Missouri. In his junior year of high school, Tomlinson reached the finals for “You Can Be a Star”, a television talent show on The Nashville Network (now Spike TV), in which Trent placed second. Some of his songs were recorded by Emerson Drive and Blue County on their respective debut albums as well as Sara Evans and George Strait. His debut album, Country is my Rock featured “Drunker Than Me,” “One Wing in the Fire” and “Just Might Have Her Radio On”.  In 2014, Parmalee released the #1 single “Close Your Eyes”, which Tomlinson co-wrote. He also co-wrote the #1 song for Brett Young “In Case You Didn’t Know” which is certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA and spent 17 weeks atop the Billboard chart!

Marshall Altman - Marshall Altman began his music career in the mid-90’s fronting the West Coast rock band Farmer.  After several US tours, Marshall transitioned into the world of A&R to develop and record new artists –his last two projects were Katy Perry and OneRepublic. In 2005, he left Columbia Records and embarked on a full time career as a writer/producer, producing three #1 singles collectively for Frankie Ballard (“Helluva Life” and “Sunshine & Whiskey”) and Eric Paslay (“Friday Night”) and producing Will Hoge’s critically acclaimed album Small Town Dreams. In 2015 Marshall returned to the studio with Frankie and Eric to record their follow up albums and also saw a 4th song go #1 at Country Radio with Frankie Ballard’s “Young & Crazy”. These successes came on the heels of producing Amy Grant’s critically acclaimed album, How Mercy Looks From Here, which was her first album in twelve years!

Matt Warren- Nashville native Matt Warren has had 15 songs recorded by country star Gary Allan. Warren is the recipient of 2 ASCAP Awards for most spins in a year (2009, 2013). In 2009, he won the ASCAP award for the top 10 hit "Learning How to Bend". In 2013, he co-wrote the ASCAP award winning #1 smash hit and all-time biggest selling Gary Allan single ever, "Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)", which was also nominated for the 2014 ACM song of the year award. He also co-wrote the lead single for Robert Randolph & The Family Band’s 2017 hit single “Love Let It Do What It Do” which features Darius Rucker on vocals!

The story-telling will be just as exciting as hearing the music live on the state-of-the-art stage, inside The Halloran Centre in downtown Memphis. Save the date! APRIL 27, 2018.
